Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist
Becky trained at Southampton University, graduating in 2013. She is a member of the CSP and HCPC. Since qualifying Becky has worked at Frimley Park Hospital completing all the core junior rotations and then specialising in Musculoskeletal and Orthopaedic physiotherapy. She has gained valuable skills in manual therapy, acupuncture, hydrotherapy and exercise prescription.
Prior to becoming a physiotherapist, Becky’s background was in the health and fitness industry having first completed a BSc (Hons) Sport Science degree. Alongside this degree, she worked as a personal trainer and sports massage therapist for 6 years. She often helped people to achieve their fitness goals and work towards high level competitions. She prides herself in helping people to achieve their goals no matter how big or small they may be.
Becky treats a wide range of musculoskeletal and post-operative orthopaedic conditions. Her treatment approach includes:
- Soft tissue techniques
- Joint mobilisation
- Taping
- Postural correction
- Exercise prescription
- Electrotherapy
- Patient education
Becky enjoys running, swimming and indoor climbing, as well as skiing in the winter season. She has experienced injury both herself and with clients, and understands the frustrations this can bring to a training programme. She therefore works hard to ensure clients fully understand their condition to rehabilitate them as quickly as possible, whilst ensuring they also complete rehab fully to prevent further problems later on.
