Why see a Home Visit Physio?

Support at home after a hospital stay or an operation is a crucial part of your recovery. Often patients feel frustrated at not being able to do activities post an operation that they could do beforehand.

Understandably, they want a support framework to guide them as they lack the confidence to know how much they can do and what they can do.

It can be just as frustrating for family members as they want to ensure you are looked after correctly, to know that everything that can is being done and that the support is in place to ensure as quick a return as possible.

The good news is that home visit Physios look after people in this exact position every day, and usually there are certain things that can be put in place quickly and with a big impact.

We see a lot of patients every week who have had recent operations or long hospital stay. Home visit Physio can  really make a difference in your health without taking a toll on your body.

Here are three reasons you should consider it:

Get set up correctly

You will understandably not be able to do some activities that you could do beforehand, due to pain or a lack of strength.  What’s important is that we get you doing as much as you can and doing the key activities.  The correct technique can really help here; for instance, it’s important that we show you how to get up from a chair properly and set up your rollator if you have one.

Regular Exercise Programme

To recover from your operation or hospital stay, you will need to have a regular exercise programme.  Having a professional design this will ensure you know how much you can do and what you can do.  By far the biggest benefit of having someone with you doing these exercises is that you do them and do them well so your recovery really gains momentum.

Support and Peace of mind

Having the correct support will ensure you have the back up to recover as quickly as possible.  This will help to alleviate frustration for you and your family and ensure that your relatives know that your recovery is in good hands. Claire is our specialist home visit Chartered Physiotherapist.  She works with all types of conditions, such as post-operative knees and hips, neurological conditions and those who have had a prolonged hospital stay.

What our Clients say...

Post op knee rehabilitation done by Sarah and Suzanne. They are a friendly, competent and accommodating team and as a GP, I would have no hesitation in recommending them to my patients.

Ash Singh

Thank you for sorting out my hip and leg pain with Physio and Rehab. Feel younger and fitter and walk with a much better posture.
A very positive experience.

CH

I was suffering with pains in my knees whilst walking and taking part in PE at school. My GP kept telling my mum it was growing pains. She took me to Synergy as she has visited there herself. I saw a lady called Sarah who did various tests. She found that my muscles were tight and discovered I rotated my knees.

Charlotte Warris

After several months of pain and a tendon release operation I had one goal, to get back into the gym and resume my workouts. With Sally’s physiotherapy and Michael’s rehabilitation work I finally went back to the gym this week, pain free! Thank you very much!
